About Maurice Sylvers & Sylvers Detail

I come from a family of ministers, educators, and entrepreneurs — each of whom shaped how I see the world. From them, I’ve gleaned the discipline, integrity, and creativity I now bring to my roles as a husband, minister, and detailer.

Sylvers Detail was born in August 2024, inspired by an unexpected moment. My wife had her car detailed, and I wasn’t impressed with the results. I thought, I could do better — not out of pride, but because I’ve always had an eye for the little things others often miss.

That sparked a journey of obsession. I dove deep into researching the industry — watching hours of YouTube, studying products, tools, dilution ratios, and mastering the science of detailing. I wasn’t just learning how to clean cars; I was learning how to restore them and elevate the customer experience.

It all came full circle when a coworker noticed how clean my work truck was and asked me to detail her personal vehicle. I said yes — and I haven’t looked back since. After seeing my work, she asked, “When are you starting your own business?” That question hit me differently. As a minister and man of faith, I felt like God was speaking through her. What she didn’t know was that I had already been thinking about starting a detailing company — I just hadn’t taken the first step.

That conversation lit the spark, and that’s when
